Slovenia Hosts First-Ever ISA Coaching Course

Surf Zveza Slovenije, the ISA Member Federation in Slovenia, hosted its first ISA Courses from June 9-13 with ISA Course Presenter Andy Joyce.

Nine instructors Students attended both the ISA Surf Level 1 and ISA/ILS International Surf and SUP Instructor Aquatic Rescue and Safety Courses. The theoretical portion of the courses were held in the capital city of Ljubljana and the practical in-water portion was held on Lake Bled one hour north.

ISA Course Presenter Andy Joyce said:

“These courses were a wonderful opportunity for us all to learn more! For the Slovenian instructors it was new material about surfing, rescue, and first aid, and for myself it was the experience of an amazing country, culture and people!”

In addition to running the ISA Courses, Andy Joyce worked with two prospective Slovenian ISA Course Presenters to run the ISA courses in Slovenia in the future. Overall the courses were a great success and all involved were happy with the quality of the courses and the new information and skills that they learned.
