Rule 50: Surfing’s Sport-Specific Guidelines for Tokyo 2020

The Olympic Games has unique rules and regulations, especially as they relate to branding at the Games.

Rule 50 is a framework of the Olympic Charter implemented both by the IOC and International Federations to protect the neutrality of sport and the Olympic games.

The framework varies from general principles that ensure that each athlete can have a Games experience free of divisive disruptions, to sport-specific guidelines pertaining to the branding on athletes and sports equipment.
