The Rip Curl School of Surf in cooperation with the International Surfing Association and the Asian Surfing Championships are delighted to announce the ISA Surf and SUP Instructor Symposium in Bali from 15-26 May 2016, which not only offers the ISA Level 1 Surf Instructor and SUP Instructor courses but an ISA Judging and Officiating course from 18-20 May as well.
This is the only ISA course in Asia that provides the ISA Level 1 Instructor and SUP Level 1 courses combined with the Surf Rescue component, PLUS offers the option to accumulate the required teaching hours to exit the course with a completed ISA certification in hand!
The courses are structured to provide first the 3-day classroom/practical coaching instruction (in either the Surfing or the SUP), the 1 day Surf Rescue course, and then the opportunity to complete your certification with 5 days of practical coaching hours at the Rip Curl School of Surf.
The Surf Instructor and SUP Instructor classroom courses are available now until April 1st for the special price of $330 USD each, with the additional $40 USD for the Surf Rescue Course, and the additional 5 days of practical couching hours is $130 USD. So the total package for the Level 1 Surf Instructor certification or Level 1 SUP Instructor certification is $500 USD.
The combined package for obtaining both the Level 1 Surf and SUP Instructor certification is $750 USD.
Australia’s Jamo Borthwick will again be the keynote speaker and presenter for the symposium for the second year running. In addition to being an ISA Level 2 Instructor and Presenter, Borthwick owns the Walking on Water Surf School, is a licensed provider of Surf Life Saving Queensland accreditation and qualification courses, and is coach to a number of junior and upcoming local surfers on the Gold Coast of Australia.
Also available is the ISA International Judging and Officiating course that will be held from 18-20 May at Rip Curl SEA Headquarters. The 3 day course will offer aspiring new judges who want to obtain their Level 1 certification the course for just $175 USD, and existing ISA judges that need a refresher and/or to increase their level the opportunity to do so for only $125. The course includes lunch and refreshments, as well as a practical judging session.
The Rip Curl School of Surf provides the ideal location and facilities for the practical part of the symposium, as it is located just steps away from the sand in the Double 6 Beach area of Legian, and is surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and entertainment for the attendees. The classroom segments will be held at Rip Curl SEA Headquarters on Sunset Road in Kuta. Transportation will be provided.
