Team USA is Gunning for a Repeat of 2009, Going for Gold at the 2015 ISA World Surfing Games

Team USA has just announced their team for the 2015 ISA World Surfing Games that is taking place May 31 – June 7 in Popoyo Beach, Nicaragua. They won the Gold at the ISA World Surfing Game in 2009 and will be looking to repeat that performance in 2015. Representing Team USA will be Damien Hobgood, Ben Bourgeois, Nathaniel Curran, Ian Crane, Tia Blanco and Frankie Harrer with Coach Ryan Simmons.

USA_Tia_Blanco_ISA_Rommel_Gonzales_35 (small)Tia Blanco earned the Bronze Medal at the 2014 VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship.

Ian Crane (small)Ian Crane competed for Team USA at the 2009 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship. Team USA received the Copper Medal.

Ben Bourgeois (small)Ben Bourgeois was part of the Gold Medal winning Team USA at the 2009 ISA World Surfing Games, where he also earned the Individual Copper Medal.

usa_frankie_harrer1_TweddleFrankie Harrer was a Copper Medalist in the Under 16 Girls Division at the 2013 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship.
