A successful meeting between ISA President, Fernando Aguerre and Panamanian Minister of Tourism, Mr. Salomón Shamah was held during the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games in Costa Rica. Shamah showed a great deal of interest in letting the surfing community know that Panama is a “Surfing friendly” country. The campaign has already begun with an initiative by Panama´s main airline, COPA Airlines, by not charging extra fees for surfboards on most of their flights.
Una exitosa reunión entre el Presidente de la ISA, Fernando Aguerre y el Ministro de Turismo de Panamá Salomón Shamah fue realizada durante los Billabong ISA World Surfing Games en Costa Rica. Shamah demostró un gran interés en hacerle saber a la comunidad surfera que Panamá es un país amigable para los surfistas. La campaña ya comenzó por medio de una iniciativa de la principal aerolínea panameña, COPA Airlines, dejando que viajes con tu tabla gratis en la gran mayoría de sus vuelos.
