‘La Celeste’ pushes forward to be in the Pan American Surfing Games

The Uruguayan surfing team, ‘la celeste’, will soon enter the action in Iquique, Chile as a part of the 8th Pan American Surfing Games that will be disputed from November 3-11. 

Although the team has already been selected, they still lack the necessary funds to underwrite their trip to Chile.

With this in mind, the USU –Uruguay Surfing Union- and the competitors themselves are taking the initiative to present their situation to the regional sports department and sponsors in order to achieve their financial goal. 
It has been a long time since la Celeste has had complete representation in this event.

In order to raise the amount necessary to cover the expenses of the trip, a dinner will be held in support of the national team.  This event will take place in the next few days in the Convention Center Arcobaleno of Punta del Este.
