Brazilian team for the 8th Panamerican Surfing Games about to be selected

The fourth and last stage of the 2007 Maresia Brazilian Surfing Tour will take place from the 14th to the 16th of September on Solemar beach, in Jacaraipe, a beach town situated in the municipality of Serra.

Six categories will be judged and, more importantly, this will be the last opportunity for the surfers to secure a spot on the national team.  This team will represent Brazil in the 8th Pan-American Surfing Games of Chile during the month of November. 

Without a doubt, Jadson André is the most notable surfer on the tour.  He is the leader of the Open and Junior divisions and based on his excellent performances it is almost impossible for him to be excluded from the Brazilian Team for Iquique. 

The team competition is headed by the San Pablo Team, at the top of the ranking with 2,900 points.  The surfers of Rio Grande del Norte are ranked second with 2,729 units, while the teams of Bahía and Santa Catarina are tied for third place. 
Next weekend will be the moment of truth in the Maresía
Brazilian Surfing 2007 Circuit.
