The fifth stage of the Nicaraguan Surfing Tour will take place August 4-5 in Popoyo. It will be a six star event that had to be rescheduled for the dates above mentioned due to the lack of waves expected for last weekend. Popoyo Beach, also known as Sardines’ Beach, is one of the best beaches to surf in Nicaragua and around the globe. According to the website www.viajeros.com, Popoyo is considered one of the top five spots to surf. The previous events of the Claro Surfing Tour were held at the following beaches: Madera Beach, La Boquita Beach, Las Peñitas Beach and Santana Beach.
