Matheus Toledo wins in Praia Grande

With a great performance throughout the event, Matheus Toledo won the first stage of the 30th Ubatuba Surf Tour after beating Hizunome Bettero, who didn’t compete in the final due to his participation in the US Open.

Toledo’s triumph began in the third heat where he scored 16.9 points, placing first in the heat with no complications. In the next round he couldn’t repeat the performance, but did earn second place thanks to a combination of 12.50 that allowed him to get to the quarters.

In the third round, Toledo competed against Diego Santos, and finally, in a very close contest Toledo scored 12.10 and beat his rival’s scoring 10.90.

In semi-finals Saulo Junior couldn’t do anything with his 9.85 points against the overwhelming Matheus who made it to the final with a 14.50 combination.
