The Barbados Surfing Association is proud to announce that this year’s edition of the Reef Classic being held at the world famous “Soup Bowl” in Bathsheba from November 16th – 18th is a dual sanctioned event. The contest forms part of the ASP North American Tour and has a 1* rating and is also a 6* rated event on the Latin American & Caribbean tour (ALAS). This may well be the first event ever to be part of two different tours at the same time.

This year the event has a total prize purse of $17000 US with an entry fee of $75 US for the main event. Entries will be limited to 96 competitors in the main event. There will also be a ladies and long board divisions as well. These will be limited to 12 & 8 competitors respectively.

Sam Limroy from the UK a previous winner of the event has already put his name on the entry list.
