The ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship united two surfing disciplines, SUP and Paddleboarding for the first time in history. As a result, those who were unfamiliar with Paddleboarding, had the opportunity to witness one of the world's most amazing athletes: Jordan Mercer.
The 18 year-old paddleboarder from Australia's Sunshine Coast was one of the biggest winners of the ISA event, with two individual gold medals in the Marathon and Short Race, and two team gold medals for Australia in the Team Relay and the Overall Team Standings.
