PASSERI'S ANNUAL VISIT TO DEPORTEA
Source: Surfpress
The first Monday of July Martin Passeri assisted to a first year sport journalism class of DeporTEA where he stood in front of students of sport journalism. The current Latin American Surf Champion answered all kinds of questions from the future journalists for about two hours. The workshop was coordinated by journalists Osvaldo Di Dio and Santiago Veiga.
As in the previous year, the local from Biologia, Playa Grande, Mar del Plata, made an imaginary journey throughout his long career and he was very grateful to Juan Carlos Morales –DeporTEA Mar del Plata headmaster- for the invitation.
“It’s always an honor for me to come to DeporTEA and to talk to future journalists. Every year I realized there is a growing interest in surfing. And it’s very healthy for future journalists to receive all the information they need to know what this is about”, said Passeri to Surfpress.
VOTED MOST POWERFUL BY OLAS MAGAZINE
In the first edition of OLAS Magazine Latin America, the Argentinean e surfer was chosen as the most powerful surfer in style, and talking about him Magnum Martinez said, “that guy has trained indeed and he has very strong legs. He weighs more than he should for his height and that’s not because he is fat but because the effort he makes on his legs when he is surfing, he is a surfer of strength, his maneuvers are based on it.”
In the survey he obtained 30,4% of the votes in the “the most powerful” category, taking the first place, whereas in the field “Small Waves” he shared the second step with Magnum Martinez -winner on the “Best Competitor” category-. Gary Saavedra won in the “Best Professional” category and Passeri was fourth in that same category.
