National Austrian Championship confirmed in June

The most important event in the Austrian surfing calendar, the National Surfing Championship, organized by the Austrian Surfing Association, will take place on June 22-25 next at the waves of Mimizan, France.

At the present time, the organizers have only confirmed competitors in two of the categories: Open Men and Open Ladies.  After three years without events, Austria is organizing its competition calendar and has as an objective to participate in the next edition of the World Surfing Games., which will take place next year in Portugal.

On the other hand, another sign of the surfing evolution in the country, from June 17 to July 1, a course for Austrian Level 1 Surf Instructors will also take place at Mimizan.
