The two time-Uruguayan champion, Luis Maria Iturria,
has embarked on a trip through Mexico where he will share a one-month
tour with his Reef teammates, while waiting for the next Latin American
Surfing Association championship.
Iturria’s expedition began on May 24 at Puerto
Escondido, where he savored very good and solid six-foot tubes at
Zicatela. It will continue through the North of the country, traveling
in a car together with the famous Mexican surfer, Kalle Carranza
Pascuales, Nexpa and Ticla will be among the waves
that will be visited by the Uruguayan in this trip, which will finish on
June 15. He will then return to his country, ready to train in
time to go to Brazil for the fifth event on
the
ALAS tour.
From Mexico, Iturria said: “We came to Mexico to
shoot the second edition of the Reef video, Hermanos, to ride waves with
power, tubes and quality, there’s no better place than Mexico. The
waves began to come when I arrived, the climate is excellent and the
food delicious. Let’s see how things develop.”
After four events, Luisma is placed tenth on the
Latin American Surf Ranking.
