Saavedra firmly on the path to his 13^th title

The third event of the Panamanian 2007 Circuit will take place on June 16-17 in Barqueta Beach, Chiquirí.  Gary Saavedra, twelve time Panamanian Surf Champion, will be trying hard to add points to establish himself as the monarch of the sport in his country and to obtain an historic thirteenth title.

Saavedra leads the 2007 tour classification with 4050 points, followed by Alejandro Alfonso and Diego Salgado in second and third place respectively

The season is long and several competitions are still missing.  But should Saavedra obtain the title, he would stand up as one of the sportsmen with the most national titles in history.
