The early loss of Gabriel Aramburu in quarterfinals was good news for Javier Swayne, as he didn’t have to wait until the last stage of the IPD Cup event to defend his National Champion title.

The surfer from San Bartolo, who only had to be the champion of the second stage of the IPD Cup at home in addition to accumulating some success in the next stages to win the title, showed that we was very excited for the title. When he was able to relax a bit, he analyzed this new achievement of his successful career, “Maybe the difference between this title and the previous year’s was how calm I was. Now I can deal with my anxiety.”
