The 1st Edition of the South American Beach Games Surfed in Uruguay

After more than ten years without an international competition, Uruguay had the honor of hosting the 1st edition of the South American Beach Games that had Surfing included in the sport program of the event.

From December 9th to the 13th, the waves of Montoya saw the Olympic flag waving and six countries competing in four divisions -Men, Women, Air Show and Aloha Cup. The teams from Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Venezuela took the medals.
The event had a five-day waiting period. Four of these days were used to complete the event in great conditions.

The next edition of the event will be held in Manta, Ecuador in 2011.
