Peru Wins Three Medals in the Pan American Surfing Games and Three in the South American Beach Games

The Peruvian Surfing Team is going through a great moment in international competitions. Peru´s performances in the Pan American Surfing Games and the South American Beach Games are a clear demonstration.

Analí Gómez won the Gold in the Beach Games and the Bronze in the Pan Americans.

Mónica Narrea won the Silver in the Bodyboard division of the Pan American Surfing Games.

The Peruvian team for the Pan American Surfing Games placed fourth with mostly Under-16 athletes, which gave them the copper medal in the overall team standings.

Also, Peruvians won the silver medal in the Aloha Cup and in the Air Show of the South American Beach Games.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)

The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for Surfing. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.

ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in La Jolla, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Mike Gerard (USA) and KarĂ­n Sierralta (Peru).
