Martin Dunn to direct National Level-2 Coaching Course
The Spanish Surfing Federation, with the cooperation of Surfing Australia and the International Surfing Association will hold two Level II Training Courses in Europe; the first one will take place in Galicia, and the second in the Canary Islands.
This course will be part of the project of training programs organized by the Spanish Surfing Federation.
The alumni will obtain an ISA Level II Surf Coach Accreditation, and an effort will be made to validate the hours for the 1st Official Level II Training Course (Education Department) that will be offered in 2010 and will obtain a 200€ discount when registering for this course.
Important notice: Alumni of the first course will then have preference to access the 1st Official Level II Training Course (Ministry of Education) that will be held in 2010 and will complete the formation and certification as NATIONAL SURFING TRAINER.
The renowned Australian trainer MARTIN DUNN will teach this course. He is considered by many to be one of the best trainers in the world. Among his many accomplishments, he trains fourteen of the 45 ASP Top Ten and ten of the ISA WJSC champions.
This is without a doubt a very unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the training techniques used by the world’s best surfers.
Course Dates and Location
Ferrol: October 16, 17 and 18, 2009.
Tenerife: October 23, 24 and 25, 2009.
Final confirmation will take place before October 1, 2009.
National Surfing Tour - La Oliva
The National Surfing Tour will soon stop in Fuerteventura Island. In October, surfers from different latitudes of Spain will enjoy what could very well be considered the island’s best wave: “El Hierro”.
Its power, right and left barrels and multiple sections, will allow the most experienced surfers to show off their skills in the Canary Island waters.
We remind you that the valid modality for the Spanish Surfing Federation Tour will be the Bodyboard Open. However, the Surf Open will also take place, valid for the Canary Island Tour. Both categories will be awarded with a cash prize of 2000€ and 1000€ respectively.
Registration is open (inscripciones@fcsurf.es ; name, surname and category) and the cost will be 20€ for the Bodyboard Open and 15€ for the Canary Island Open Surf Tour.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for Surfing. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
