German Team finishes 24th in the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games
A full German Team finished 24th in the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games that were held in the perfect waves of Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, from August 1st to 8th.
The German team achieved the following individual positions:

Quiksilver German Championships 2009
The Deutscher Wellenreit Verband (German Surfing Association) hosts the annual national champs in Mimizan France
From October 10th- 18th the beaches of Mimizan Plage will see the elite German surfers compete in the Quiksilver German Championships.
After moving from Seignosse last year, the German champs have found a great new home in Mimizan. The Ville de Mimizan has welcomed us with open arms seeing this event as a great opportunity to promote the great beachbreaks of Mimizan Plage to a larger audience. After hosting the European Titles a few years ago, Mimizan was looking for a major competition to return to their beaches.
Competitors must hold a valid German passport in order to compete in one of the divisions (open, open women, longboard, longboard women, bodyboard, bodyboard women, cadets (U16), juniors (U18), seniors (+28), masters (+35), grandmasters (+40), club competition.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for Surfing. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in La Jolla, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Mike Gerard (USA) and Karín Sierralta (Peru).
