Bronze Medal in the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games
The TravelSim Australian Surfing Team ended in third place in the overall team standings of the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games, held in Playa Hermosa Costa Rica, August 1-8.
Regardless of the fact that the Aussies have won the three previous editions of the World Surfing Games, Bronze is a great result that every country might hope to acquire.

Drop in at the Surfing Australia High Performance Centre during these school holidays to surf fun uncrowded waves and improve your surfing.
Whether you are looking to land an aerial or complete your first cutback, by attending a HPC camp your surfing will benefit from:

• Tips and coaching from Australia’s finest, fully accredited surfing coaches

Country Energy Australian Surf Festival:
Taking place at Port Macquarie, on the NSW Mid North Coast, from August 15 – 29, The Country Energy Australian Surf Festival will see 350 of the best surfers from around the country competing for 23 prestigious national titles in three spectacular disciplines.
After a watershed year in 2008 the festival returns to the Port Macquarie region with 23 Australian titles to be awarded in 21 divisions, which include the Australian Longboard, Stand Up Paddle Board and Shortboard titles for the first time in 45 years of Australian competitive surfing history; making it the largest surfing event held in Australia.
In 2009, with an expanded festival program, The Country Energy Australian Surf Festival boasts live music, surf art and photography, retro surfboard displays, surf film screenings and surfing education courses to appease the palates of all surf-culture enthusiasts, or even the humble surfer – proving that the Festival is not just about the competition – it encapsulates the lifestyle, the culture and the history of Australia’s most loved pastime.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for Surfing. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in La Jolla, California.
