SURFING AMERICA SIGNS VERIZON WIRELESS AS OFFICIAL WIRELESS SPONSOR To launch the partnership, Surfing America will host the 2009 Surfing America Summer Surf Jam at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on Sunday, June 21st. Additionally, Verizon Wireless will be Presenting Sponsor of the 2009 SIMA Surfing America USA Championships scheduled for August 25-30 at Huntington Beach Pier, CA. "This is an incredible development," said Surfing America's Executive Director Mike Gerard. "We're extremely pleased and honored to have Verizon Wireless as a marketing partner.
