Pablo Solar first in Realejos
The Surf and Longboard Open National Tour of the Spanish Surfing Federation was opened in Realejos. The current Spanish Surf Champion, Cantabrian Pablo Solar, proved again that he will not give his rivals a chance; he won the opening stage of the National Tour 2009.
Eunate leads the World Tour
After two stages of the World Tour in Brazil, Eunate Aguirre occupies the first place on the World ranking, taking this place from the three-time champion Neymara Carvalho.
The first two stages that took place at Pipeline and Santa Catarina (Brazil) didn’t fare so well for Eunate. But in the third one, Eunate won the final at Salvador de Bahia with a great performance against Maylha Venturine (BRA). With this victory, Eunate made clear that she is in good shape and proved that she is the stronger surfer of the World Tour nowadays and the most serious candidate for the title of Bodyboard World Champion.
Monitor SUP Workshop: A success
The first Monitor Stand Up Paddle Surf Workshops of the Spanish Surfing Federation was a success, Fernando Labad and Guillermo Peña were the instructors.
“The SUP in Spain is on FIRE”! These were the graphic conclusion of the first National Monitor SUP Workshop level 1 that took place from April 24-26. The feedback and motivation of the participants proved how successful the Workshops were.
This course shows the deep work Fernando Labad and Guillermo Peña had been making with the Federation. Thus they could organize the First Monitor Stand Up Paddle Surf Workshop at a national and European level, an event that is already part of surfing history. Altea’s geographic situation with its particular bays, different orientations and its good weather made the task easier.
The result was amazing and it confirms the good job these teachers and their collaborators make.
