JUNIOR NEWS QUIKSILVER ISA WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

The South African Team loved their time in Ecuador and were happy with their silver medal in the Aloha Cup, bronze medal for Davey Brand in the Under 16 divison and sixth place overall.

Their surfboards did not arrive back in Cape Town with them having been left in Amsterdam but KLM were really efficient and got all the boards delivered within two days.

On the Friday before the start of the WJSC the Saffas beat the Kiwis in the annual SANZ Challenge, which is an annual "friendly" contest against that takes place each year just before the WJSC gets under way.

This contest was first held prior to the inaugural WJSC in Durban in 2003 and has been held every year since then.

Team South Africa is looking forward to WJSC 2010.

BILLABONG JUNIOR SERIES # 1
