“LITTLE SURFING AMBASSADORS” PUERTO ESCONDIDO OAXACA. MARCH 28 -29

With the objective of detecting new surfing values in the Oaxaca region, Puerto Escondido held a comradeship competition for children 4-years-old and juniors under 17-years-old.

Cesar Petroni’s particpation in both categories was brilliant; girls also participated in the boys categories.

The winners were:  Leila Takeda, Jonimar Robles, Cesar Petroni, Yony Corzo, Mike Velasco, Ángelo Donnano, Vania Olivera, Asaya Brusa, Tehuen Petroni, Miguel Safra and Rimel Corzo.

INTERNATIONAL BODYSURF TOURNAMENT
Organized by the Manta Raya Bodyboard Club, this competition will take place April 25-26 in the beach Escolleras de Ixtaba Zihuatanejo.

PRO AM SURFING AMERICAS CUP
Still to be confirmed, will be held in Acapulco, Guerrero, Bonfil beach on April 24-26.

SURF & MUSIC FESTIVAL – 2009 NATIONAL CIRCUIT FINALS IN PUERTO ESCONDIDO, OAXACA
Will take place on May 14-17 and will have two podiums, one in Playa Zicatela and another in the beach La Punta de Zicatela, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.

Competition will start at 7:00 a.m. categorized by the following:
4 Open shortboards (men)
4 Under 16 shortboards
4 Under 18 shortboards
2 Shortboard – children from 11 to 14-years old
2 Open Shortboard for ladies without age limits
4 Open bodyboards
2 Under 18 bodyboards
2 Ladies Bodyboards without age limits
2 Open Longboards
2 Senior Boards (28-years-old onwards)
2 Senior Boards (35-years-old onwards)
2 Grandmaster Boards (40-years-old onwards)
2 Kahuna boards (45-years-old onwards)
2 Grand Kahuna boards (50-years-old onwards)
2 Judges for the Judging Panel
1 State Delegate.


About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.

ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since.
