Denny Irish Junior Surfing Team finish 20th in the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship
Ireland have finished 20th overall at the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Champions. The event ended today at la FAE, Salinas, Ecuador with Australia taking the team title and two of the individual gold medals. Australia’s Dean Bowen and Tyler Wright won the U18 Boys and U18 Girls respectively while Keanu Asing from Hawaii won the U16 Boys.
The best Denny Irish Junior Surf Team performances came from Tahlia Britton and Aaron Reid. Tahlia finished 49th in the U18 Girls division and Aaron finished 57th in the U18 Boys division.
The team was led by manager, Zoe Lally and Coach, Pascal Devine and supported by Denny, Irish Sports Council and Quiksilver.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Mike Gerard (USA) and Karin Sierralta (Peru).
