Listing of the Under-18 National Team
Looking forward to improve the twelfth place obtained last year in France during the 2008 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, the Costa Rican Surf Federation has reported the definitive list of athletes that will represent Costa Rica in the World Junior Championship in Salinas, Ecuador from March 28 to April 5.
The following is the list of athletes:

Marcos Conde in Costa Rica
To strengthen the areas of technical direction of people that have groups of surfers under their charge with daily and weekly training sessions, the Surf Federation has brought to Costa Rica an expert in the subject, Brazilian Marco Conde.
During his stay in the country he will lead a seminar on surf coaching and will also give a course on Level 1 Coaching that is certified by the International Surfing Association – ISA.
The seminar will take places on March 11 and 12 in the installations of the Radicals church, beside Más x Menos in Jacó at a cost of 250 dollars.
Marco Conde is a journalist, was Brazilian national champion in several occasions, especially during his years as a Master. He’s been involved in the surfing world since 1972.
About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Mike Gerard (USA) and Karin Sierralta (Peru).
