Brazil has a great record in the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships. They won the Gold in the 2003 edition of the event in South Africa. Later to be placed 3rd in Tahiti of 2004, 2nd in Huntington Beach of 2005, 3rd in Brazil of 2006, and 2nd again in Portugal of 2007 and in France of 2008.

For the last two years Brazil came second to Australia, the biggest surfing power in the world. Without a doubt, Brazilians are looking forward to change that pattern this year.
