ADRIAN DAPELO WINS 7TH STAGE AND MARIO GAMBELLINI IS THE 2008 CHAMPION

Adrian Dapelo won the seventh stage of the national circuit, a real battle for the title with Felipe Rodriguez, Sebastian Santos and Javier Fey.  With only a minute left, Dapelo had an eight-point advantage over Felipe Rodriguez.

He entered the set and the leader caught the first wave and started to show he wanted to win, executing radical maneuvers with great strength, control and flexibility.

The wave sealed his victory, leaving Felipe in second place.  Javier Fey and Sebastian Santos were third and fourth respectively.

With these results, Mario Gambellini became the 2008 Ecuadorian Tour Champion.  A joyful Montañita team celebrated their first time ever national champion in the Open division.
