JORGE 'YOYI' ALBOR IS THE THIRD IGUANAMAR SURF FESTIVAL CHAMPION

The third IGUANAMAR SURF FESTIVAL was a mobile event and took place with enormous success and great affluence of competitors in the waves off the pier of Puerto Colombia and El Bolsillo in Pradomar.

The local Pradomar athlete Jorge Albor obtained the title on this occasion, after disputing a great final with Sergio Navarro of Barranquilla, Simón Salazar from Manizales and Filipok Ospina from Cartagena.

He knew how to score the definitive points in key waves and imposed himself before a solid Sergio Navarro who surfed in excellent form during the entire event.  The surprise was the elimination in quarterfinals of Juan Carlos de Luque, another Pradomar local.

All the competitors that are participating in the national tournaments are beginning to show a very high surfing level.

The last competition at the pier of Puerto Colombia had occurred thirteen years ago.  Good waves and a natural environment delighted the competitors and audience, and all those that came to watch the spectacle.  In the afternoon, the competition continued under a strong current at Bolsillo and Pradomar, demanding much more from the competitors.

Thanks to our sponsors: HOTEL PRADOMAR, COCOA BEACH SURF COMPANY, COMBARRANQUILLA, TAVARUA, AZUL PROFUNDO SATURNO TEXTILES, SANDMAN TATOO & 187 BRAND.
