APPLICATIONS WELCOMED FOR IRISH SURF TEAM MANAGEMENT AND COACHES
The Irish Surfing Association would like to invite candidates interested in managing and coaching of Irish Surf Teams to submit applications to Irish Surfing Association, Easkey, Co. Sligo. All management and coaching positions are voluntary. Applications should include relevant experience in sport management and coaching, qualifications and any other relevant information. Closing date for applications is 16th of December.
CAUSEWAY COAST SURF CLUB MEETING
The Causeway Coast Surf Club will be holding an open meeting in the Water Sports Centre, East Strand, Portrush at 4.00pm on the 10th Jan 2009. Any surfer interested in the future development of the club is welcome to attend.
Denny Irish Junior Surf Team 6th in the European Junior Surfing Championship
The Denny Irish Junior Surf Team has finished 6th overall at the European Junior Surfing Championships. France dominated the Championships to take 1st place with Portugal in 2nd, Spain 3rd and the surprise of the event, Morocco in 4th.

About International Surfing Association
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Maile Aguerre (Hawaii) and Mike Gerard (USA).
