Calendar Startup
The 2008/2009 Argentinean Surfing Association Circuit was formally inaugurated with the traditional Jamming Fest. Quequén, at the city of Necochea, was chosen as the circuit’s startup during which the best riders of the country will be summoned.

This new championship has, as a novelty, the presentation of new regulations especially designed to qualitatively improve the Tour.

The Jamming Fest distributed 5,000 pesos in prizes and was divided in two events. A classifying trial was disputed first and defined the riders to pass to the main chart. There they waited and joined the Top 28 riders of the 07/08 Argentinean Ranking.

All for the Beach
Surfrider Argentina, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to sea protection, is preparing the third date of the “All for the Beach Triple Crown”.

It is a cross-country race along the beach that, in its 7km course, allows you to appreciate the beautiful and natural coastal landscapes of the city of Mar del Plata. This area is today at risk because of the permanent building of breakwaters. The race will be at 10 a.m. on December 21, starting at “Honu Beach”.

The objective of this competition is to make people aware of the importance of preserving the sanitary, recreational and aesthetic qualities of the beaches, and the public spaces and seafront of low environmental impact as a right for all the Community.
