Ireland ready for the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships

The Troggs Junior Surfing Championships, the second out of two Junior events held at East Strand, Portrush, last March the 25th selected the Ireland National Team that will compete in the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships to be held at Costa de Caparica, Portugal – May 4-13.

Ireland competed in three out of the four Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships. The Irish team’s best result came in their first Championships in Durban, South Africa, where they placed 7th. Ireland then placed 17th in Tahiti 2004 and, in Huntington Beach 2005, they placed 25th.

Three weeks before the WJSC, the Denny Irish National Surfing Championships will take place. The best 2007 Irish surfers will be determined in the following divisions: Open, Women, Longboard, Bodyboard, Womens Bodyboard, Senior and Masters.
