PERU

Roncalla is still the leader of the Peruvian Surfing Tour

Gustavo Swayne wins the fifth stop

The fifth stage of the Chevrolet Peruvian Surfing Tour was held in perfect 6 to 8 feet waves at the Punta Hermosa classic spot of La Isla. The great protagonist of the event was San Bartolo’s Gustavo Swayne, who got the perfect wave he needed with two minutes remaining of the final heat, received a 9.17 and went straight to the top of the podium.

Manuel Roncalla placed second, strengthening his name on the top of the rating and getting closer to driving home with a Chevrolet Spark that the Peruvian National Champ will receive. Sebastián Alarcón placed third and Salvador Voysest fourth.

Among other results, Valeria Solé, great Peruvian promise, won the Ladies division, showing that she’s following in Sofía footsteps. Carlo Mario Zapata won the Under 14 division for the fifth time in a row. Piero Dellucchi won the Juniors and José Gómez won the Longboard division.
