Clínica y Campeonato Red Bull Iorana Hapi Surf Rapa Nui

The first surfing clinic dedicated for Easter Island children and teenagers took place from March 16th until the 18th. Famous Chilean charger, Ramón Navarro shared his knowledge, explaining several issues related to the sport of surfing; How to be a Professional Surfer and The Importance of Surfing for the tourism of a place with good waves like Rapa Nui.

Navarro said that Rapa Nui has different and amazing waves with great potential, and at 7:00 am of March the 17th he left that very clear after catching some huge 10 feet walls at the dangerous spot of Pakaia.; Everybody appreciated world class world class surfing at a world class wave.

The clinic restarted midday with the Red Bull Iorana Hapi Surf Contest. The kids learned different techniques and maneuvers that were put into practice at Hanga Roa Bay.

“These kids have a great surfing future, they can be professional surfers thanks to the amazing waves and the skills they have. They just need the support of brands like Red Bull to help them develop surfing in the island,” said Navarro.

Once the contest was over, the Prize Ceremony started. The winners took home Cipres surfboards, leashes, waxes, T-Shirts, Surfer Paradise and Adrenaline Surfp shop hats.
