Trinidad and Tobago ready for the World Surfing Games
The Surfing Association of Trinidad and Tobago announced the list of athletes that will be participating from October 11-19 at Costa de Caparica’s waves, Portugal, in one of the most important surfing events of the planet, the ISA World Surfing Games.
Trinidad and Tobago will compete with an almost complete team, missing one in Open Women. In spite of that, they have a considerably important squad, with respected pro surfer Jason Aparicio, the Caribbean professional, at the top of the list.

Trinidad and Tobago has only competed in one edition of the ISA World Surfing Games, in Huntington Beach 1996 where they competed with just two of the seventeen competitors and they obtained the 35th position. This year, with an almost complete team and with talented surfers, they will improve their position for sure.
About International Surfing Association
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Maile Aguerre (Hawaii) and Mike Gerard (USA).
