National bodyboard Training Period FFS in Capbreton

For the first time the FFS organize a national training camp exclusively addressed to bodyboarders. From July 8 to 11 at Capbreton (Landes), the best 12 national riders (junior, age 12 to 18) were present to be evaluated and trained. They were chosen by their last national results. The Capbreton waves welcomed riders of all big French surf regions, as bretagne, aquitaine, réunion, Guadeloupe, etc. It will be a great moment to evaluate and talk about the professional evolution and prepare them for the next big national contests.

The French bodysurf on national TV and Radio
With the development of the bodysurf in France, the media are getting interested by this ancestral sport, which is in full structuring thanks to the work of the FFS national committee.

The last international exceptional result of Fred David during the Pipeline Bodysurfing Classic (2nd place) called the media attention. The French national television program made an interesting report on this rider and this sport in Anglet. National radio made the same some weeks after.

National surf prevention campaign
The FFS in collaboration with Doctor Barucq, produced a guide (20 pages) with 10,000 copies about the risk and the accidents in surf. It talks about the rules in the water for surfers such as protection, safety and how to avoid dangerous problems.. It is destined to reach our 250 national surf schools and the general public.
