With an excellent background, the Third Children Surfing Championship, sponsored by the Surfing School of COLOMBIA SURF COMPANY, was carried out. With 2-feet waves breaking in Pradomar, children and longboarders displayed great performances. The event had music, waves, sun, rain and skate on a Sunday full of energy.

In the Kids division, Children from 5 to 13 years old participated in rounds of two and three competitors in each heat. In spite of their young age, these kids surprised the most experienced surfers with their moves. The winner was once again Howard 'Chispy' Gomez who defended his title. The competitions were carried throughout the day, there was a skate exhibition in the afternoon and then Wasabi gave a rock concert.

During the championship, Julio Burbano, the President of the Colombian Surfing Association, awarded Howard the Individual Scholarship by the ISA, $1.200,00 for his studies and school supplies.

The championship was sponsored by COLOMBIA SURF COMPANY and it was also supported by the Local Sports Office of Puerto Colombia, Iguanamar.com, Etniko, Lola Saito, Cruz y cañón, Azul Profundo, Nautica Velero, Arepizza, Bohecoco, Sandman, Hotel Pradomar, Enza Spa, Textiles Saturno and Sierra Design.
