Argentina’s remarkable full team for the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Championship in Seignosse, France.
Although the results weren’t good the team’s attitude and the ASA authorities’ (Argentine Surf Association) commitment to embark on this adventure to Europe have to be pointed out: “We obtained the 18th position out of 28 countries, still our participation was positive in all senses. The important thing is to compete and to learn. It was great for our surfers to actually size themselves up with the rest of the countries in order to improve their surfing”, said the ASA President, Paco Garcia Rabini.
Even though Maia and Maria Paz were the most outstanding girls from the group and Martín was the one who reach the higher position in the under 16 division, the whole team’s effort worth to be mentioned.
Mariano Arreyes, Nehuen Adamo, Juanchi Arca, Marco Herrera, -in the under18 division- Martín Carricart, Brian Masmut, Pedro Francistegui y Pablo Cosoleto –in the under16- Maia Cherr, Maria Paz Usuna, Lucía Cosoleto and Martina Gainza -Girls-. The whole team felt their relatives’ support who were watching the championship live through the Internet and the support from the people who were waving flags from the shore.

Martín Perez has his own press manager
The two-times Argentinian Longboard Champion and winner of the 2007 Latin American title, Martin Perez, joined the TakeOff Noticias agency in order to spread his news to all the surf community.
From June on TakeOff will take care, as a press manager of the longboarder, to inform about his commitments in the country and abroad.
Martin Perez started to surf when he was 8 years old at Waikiki beach in Mar del Plata. From this moment his surfing has improved a lot.
Nowadays, he is considered a model to other surfers in his division not only because of his achievements but also because of his humility. This has led him to be classified for the Panamerican Games in Chile and to be part of the group that was selected to participate in the ISA World Surfing Games in Portugal because of his position in the Argentinian ranking 07/08.
Martín Pérez is sponsored by: Lost, Thermoskin, Hardcore, Elova Foam, Cono Sur Boards, Mohs Gafas, Power Deck, Kikiwai Surf Club and Waikiki Surf Bar.
