Locals are sharp and focused for the Juniors
The French Surfing Federation, host and organizer of the biggest surfing tournament on the planet for under 18 surfers, announced the dream team that will be representing them from May 24 until June 1 in the waves of the Le Penon Plage, Seignosse, in the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship.
French are looking forward for their first gold medal in the history of this event. And for doing it, they have a team that includes 18 people, between the 12 competitors, alternates, coaches and managers. They´ve also set up a great deal of preparation trainings in the Camp located on the wave-rich town of Hossegor and also two pre event competitions against the Costa Rican and Tahitian teams.

The French Junior Surfing Team competed in all the five editions of the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, reaching their best result in Brazil 2006, when they came as runner ups in the overall team positions, winning the Silver Medal.

French Surfing is moving ahead with full momentum, with local knowledge playing a major role, France has never had a better chance to achieve an historic Gold Medal in the overall team raking.
About International Surfing Association
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Maile Aguerre (Hawaii) and Mike Gerard (USA).
