The ISA World Masters Surfing Championship is right around the corner

In less than 25 days, the world’s main surfing event for surfers over 35 years old will begin. The ISA World Masters Surfing Championship will take place at Punta Rocas, Peru from March 29 to April 6.

Trestles Toll Road REJECTED by CA Coastal Commission

Yesterday was a great day for the coast!! The California Coastal Commission voted 8-2 to reject the planned 241 Toll Road and to protect Trestles and San Onofre State Beach. Thousands turned out for this historic meeting in Del Mar, making it clear to the commissioners that the destruction of state parks and coastal resources is unacceptable.

Surf Access Denied at Baja’s Salsipuedes

Public road access to one of Baja California’s best waves, Punta Salsipuedes, is history.

Surfers accustomed to giving the local family a few dollars to park and camp are now being turned away by security guards. Salsipuedes is part of the current development wave washing over coastal Northern Baja. Marketed to Americans as affordable coastal living, these developments are sprouting up from Playas de Tijuana to Ensenada.
