Dylan Southworth won the first stage of the Americas’ Cup Tour

The first stage of the Americas’ Cup Pro-Am Tour took place in Delfines Beach, Cancún, this was the first ever professional event that took place in Mexican beaches.

Like ASP events, this one had a waiting period, and on the first stage the Mexican surfers showed their high level, the same level they have been showing lately in the ALAS tour.

The promising surfer Dylan Southworth was the big winner of this first stage, followed by Angelo Lozano and Heriberto Ramirez on the third position.
The next stage will be carried out in March in Acapulco, Guerrero.

About the Americas’ Cup Tour

One of the most important things of this event is that it will take place in Mexico. It will be covered by the different media so that even more people know about this sport, about Mexican beaches and, of course, about the surfers.
We want the event to be a showcase for our athletes so that they can get sponsorship, prestige and acknowledgment.

We also want surfing to become one of the favourite sports and, why not, to be the second most popular sport from the country. We are giving prizes in cash so that the surfers can afford their trips and training around the world.

We are eager to see a Mexican surfer in the world tour.
AMERICAS’ CUP PRO AM TOUR will be a real celebration: sun, beaches, bikinis, music, concerts and entertainment with the theme “LET’S TAKE CARE OF MEXICAN SEAS”. We want to promote sport tourism and to create some conscience about the environment.
