MAXI SIRI IS THIS YEAR’S LOBO DE MAR

Maxi Siri won the Lobo de Mar award. This award was delivered –as every year- by the Sport Journalists Society from Mar del Plata city in the Versailles hall of the Hermitage Hotel on January 20.

Promising surfer Lucas Santamaría and current Latin American Longboard Champion Martin Perez were the other two candidates for the award.

“I’m really happy with this award, it’s an acknowledgment that every athlete from Mar del Plata have dreamed of. And it was great to share it with Lucas who is a very good team mate and the most elegant candidate (laughter) and with Martin Perez, another great Argentinian surfer”, said Siri to Surfpress very happy with the award in his hands.

Maxi Siri had a great year in the national competitions, he made it to the final in all the events he participated in and he obtained his third National Championship, an honour he shares with his friend Martin Passeri.
