Andy Abel awarded by National Government
The President of the Surfing Association of Papua New Guinea Andy Abel, has just been awarder with the Member of the order of Logohu, medal award by the Papua New Guinea National Governemt for his service to surfing and tourism over the last 20 years.
This award is similar to the British Imperial medal of the Member of the British Empire. Andy received the medal by the hands of the head of the state and Prime Minister. “It felt good to prove that we surfers have a place in society that can play our part in nation building and contribute to the social and economic development of our growing nation,” said the President of the National Governing Body of Surfing in Papua New Guinea.
