The surfer from Puerto Escondido will represent Mexico in his last year as Pro Junior.
For the second year Angelo Lozano will be the only Mexican surfer that will participate in the Billabong ASP World Junior Championship that will take place from January 3-10 in North Narrabeen, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
A few days ago, this member of the Squalo team gave a press conference in Oaxaca where he talked about the event, and stood out the importance of being the only Mexican surfer in Australia.
“I expect this year to be full of triumphs and to improve my performance because it will be my last participation in the Pro-Junior division, next time I will jump to Open division”, said Lozano on an interview for the Aztec TV.
Lozano shared the conference with Eduardo Altamirano and the sports promoter Eliezer Valdéz.
As he gets ready to spend Christmas with his family, Lozano won’t have time to rest because of the hard training he has planned to do. “This is a busy end of the year, it’s a huge responsibility to represent my country in the Billabong ASP World Junior in Australia.
This championship has been a launch pad to stars like Andy Irons and Joel Parkinson among others. I hope to have good waves so that I can make a great performance”.
After this Australian championship, Angelo will participate in the ALAS tour 2008 and in Peru Reef Classic that will take place on February 8-10 in Punta Roca’s waves.
