El Salvador surfing represented in Iquique
Thanks to the great Jimmy Rotherham, the El Salvador Surfing Team battled until the very end of the 8th Pan American Surfing Games that took place in Iquique, Chile.
Despite the low water temperatures, the Salvadorian athletes competed, in more than one instance, without a wetsuit in order to feel more comfortable during their heats.
Rotherham and Wilber “Policía” Albarenga were the two strongest assets of El Salvador. The two surfers, along with the other team competitors, gained 9,520 points. This placed them in 11th place in the general classification.
