ISA President attended the International Federation Sports Forum
The International Surfing Association (ISA) President, Fernando Aguerre, attended the International Federation Sports Forum that took place in Lausanne, Switzerland from November the 26th until the 28th.
This forum is organized by the ASOIF –Association of Summer Olympic International Federations.
The aim of the gathering is to target the specific needs of Olympic and Non Olympic IF’s and provide an enlightening and educational package of content in various formats. It’s a forum for the IFs, by the IFs.
Since the ISA is the World Governing Authority in all the activities of Surfriding, recognized by the International Olympic Committee and the ASOIF, Aguerre attended the Forum which he considered a great success: “I have made great progress in my first trip to IOC Headquarters to the International Federations Forum. By the end of the meeting several IOC officials knew that our #1 Agenda item is surfing Olympic participation. However without good man-made waves, this is not going to happen.”
We will have a full report on results of the forum in the following newsletter.
