The Ecuadorians represented well in Iquique

The Ecuadorian surfing team earned sixth place in the final ranking of the 8th Pan American Surfing games, which took place in the beginning of the month in Iquique, Chile. 

Thanks to Sebastián Santos and the promising Janier Angulo Fey, the Ecuadorian team was tough during the entire event, battling in the cold water of the South Pacific.

Sebastián Santos ended up being the best Ecuadorian athlete in the final ranking with good surfing moments, and placed seventh.  With his aerial surfing, the longhaired surfer knew how to succeed.

The great surprise for Ecuadorian surfing is Javier Angulo Fey.  Fey is a promising surfer and if given the opportunity to travel and gain experience in competitions, he will be one of the most prominent Ecuadorian surfers in the near future.
