Dear Friends of Surfing around the World,
For a few years now, the ISA membership has included over 50 National
Surfing Federations. Their leaders devoted endless hours For a Better
Surfing Future.
In every country with surfers, there is also a group of them working
hard for a better surfing future. I would like to recognize and honor
these great groups of surfers.
The ISA fully supports the work of its member Federations and the
individuals that work hard with them. In order to further support and
promote their efforts, I have decided to hire surf journalist Pablo
Zanocchi, as our ISA Media Manager. He will lead this effort with World
Surfing News. It is my hope to properly promote all activities towards a
better development of surfing, hence allowing our Federations and their
leaders to move forward in an even more influential way.
I hope you enjoy this first issue of World Surfing News. This is the
first step of a publication that aims at promoting not just surfing
contest and National Teams, but as well the very rich variety of
activities involving our Surfing Tribe.
My plan is to include news on activities from our member Federations and
other organizations devoted to the environment, humanitarian relief and
all other activities aiming at a better world, in peace and happiness
for all.
This World Surfing News magazine belongs to its readers, all of you, who
are our inspiration for continue to move forward an upwards.
Please enjoy this first edition of World Surfing News. It’s the first
step of a new age for surfing, in our quest For a Better Surfing Future.
Un fuerte abrazo,
Fernando Aguerre
President
