Vincio Pereira passed away
 

The European Surfing Federation are saddened inform you that last night Vinicio Pereira passed away.

Vinicio- Vinnie, to his friends, was one of the pioneers of surfing in Portugal. He was a founder member of the Portuguese Surfing Federation, the FPS, and of the Surf Association of Aveiro.

From 1993 to 1995 he was also President of the European Surfing Federation. At various times he was on the national selection of the FPS and President of the Arbitration Committee of the FPS.

He had good technical knowledge and was always ready to help and share this for the benefit of surfers and surfing. He will be sadly missed by his friends both in out of Portugal.

The European Surfing Federation extends its condolences to his family.

Members wishing to express their condolences are requested to do so through the Portuguese Surfing Federation.

His funeral takes place on Saturday March 24th at the Church of The Misericordia, Vila do Conde
